We aim to create the best possible physical environment for the creation, presentation, participation and enjoyment of the arts, which is accessible for all.
Throughout The Crescent, there are many accessible features and we work hard to provide a welcoming and accessible environment.
We want everyone to be able to use our website, so please get in touch if you can't and we will work to fix it.
Facilities & Services
All areas of The Crescent are fully accessible by ramps and a passenger lift leaving you to explore and enjoy our building
Changing Places Facility is located on the ground floor. This is a new combined toilet, shower and changing room specially designed for use by people with complex and multiple impairments/disabilities and was funded by the Department of Communities Access and Inclusion Fund
Our team has been trained to operate ‘Evacusafe’ chairs
Induction loop systems are in position at reception and in the Cube Theatre space. The Crescent also has two portable loop systems. If required please ask at reception
Tactile signage is used on key areas within The Crescent. All signage has been designed to facilitate ease of reading for those with visual impairments
There are disabled toilets located on every floor of the building
Help & Assistance
We can provide a range of interpretation services for our live events and learning programme including British Sign Language, captioning and audio description
Assistance dogs are welcome. Customers are asked to inform the Box Office when booking seats so that appropriate seats are allocated
Counters and furniture have been designed to accommodate customers using wheelchairs. Counters are fitted with local induction loop systems
Emergency Call Buttons are located throughout the building at safe refuge points, and can be used to request assistance from a member of staff in an emergency
Our programmes are 210mm x 148mm. We can also provide the brochure in larger print or Braille
The Crescent is a JAM friendly organisation*
*As a JAM Card Friendly organisation we allow people with a learning difficulty, autism or communication barrier to tell others they need ‘Just A Minute’ discreetly and easily. Those with a communication barrier are often reluctant or unable to tell others about their condition. JAM Card allows this to happen in a simple, effective non-verbal manner whilst helping to improve the customer service experience of thousands of people.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know when you book your tickets using the comments system at Box Office and we will happily reserve appropriate seating for you.
