By booking/purchasing a ticket for an event/enrolling in a class or workshop at The Crescent, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid out below.
If you make a booking or purchase for another member of the public, it is your responsibility that this individual is aware of our terms and conditions.

Ticket Purchases/Enrolments/Workshops
- Every member of the audience must have a valid ticket / booking for the date and time that they are attending. It is the booker’s responsibility to ensure that all tickets issued to them / enrolments made for them are accurate.
- Enrolment for courses, workshops and events is subject to availability and there is no prebooking or reserve policy. Booking is only secured upon full payment of all fees due.
- Enrolment for courses must be made for the full course duration. Enrolment cannot be made for individual course sessions.
- Enrolment finishes once the event, course or workshop has started. If you wish to enrol for a class after the start date, it is always worth contacting us to check if places are available. Subsequent enrolment is subject to approval. No reduction is given for late enrolments.
- Concession prices are applicable to students (full time), senior citizens (60 years of age or over) and those on benefits (Disability Living Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseekers Allowance, PIP, Related Universal Credit Option). The Crescent reserves the right to ask for relevant I.D. to support a concessionary or discounted rate. Please note that concessions cannot be claimed retrospectively.
- Bookers with tickets / enrolments purchased through an unauthorised vendor will not receive an exchange or refund from The Crescent.
- The Crescent reserves the right to place restrictions on the volume of tickets that may be sold through the Box Office or online.
- Booking fee only applies to certain events and is non-refundable.
- Liability for independent classes, events and workshops lies solely with the respective independent tutors or organisations and follow their terms & conditions.
Cancellations & Refunds
- The Centre reserves the right to amend or cancel a course, workshop or event where necessary due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrolment / sales. The customer will be notified via phone or email if an activity is cancelled.
- If The Crescent cancels a course, workshop or event, monies paid will be refunded onto the original form of payment. * please see below.
- If a course, workshop or event is cancelled, The Crescent is not liable for any monies spent by the customer such as train fares, accommodation etc.
- If you cancel a booking for an event, course or workshop with more than 7 days’ notice before the event date, workshop date or first class starts you will be entitled to a refund onto a voucher to the same value only. Vouchers are valid for 6 months.
- If you cancel a booking for an event, course or workshop with less than 7 days’ notice before the event date, workshop date or first class starts we will not be able to offer you a refund. The only exception would be if you have to cancel due to a medical condition or ongoing illness. Please note we will ask for suitable proof. In this instance, please email us at hello@crescentarts.org with details and a refund request.
- Donations are none refundable.
- All tickets for events are non-transferable after purchase.
- * Customers due non voucher refunds will have them paid in the following ways;

For payments made using a credit or debit card your refund will automatically be issued to that payment card. Please note this can take up to 5 working days to show on your card. If your payment card has expired your refund will be issued by a bank transfer (BAC) as we are unable to add new cards for refund purposes.

For payments made by cash your refund will be issued by a bank transfer (BAC) as The Crescent are unable to offer cash refunds.

For any BAC’s refund The Crescent will make contact with the customer for bank details.

For payments made by gift voucher your refund will be issued with an updated gift voucher balance with a six month validity.

Visiting The Crescent
- Cameras, mobile phones and all electronic devices must be switched off during events, classes and workshops (especially Life Drawing classes & workshops). Anyone failing to comply with this will be asked to leave the event, class or workshop without entitlement to a refund.
- Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited throughout the Centre
- The Centre is compliant with disability legislation. Anyone with special requirements or requiring assistance should inform centre staff when booking or enrolling. Parents/carers must notify the Child Protection Officer of your child’s special requirements.
- All Centre users are asked to consider the environment by conserving energy and recycling, reusing and upcycling suitable materials where reasonably possible.
- Food and beverages (except bottled water) are strictly prohibited in class and workshop spaces except where agreed in advance. Only food and beverages purchased in the Centre are permitted in the Cube and Studio for events without tiered seating.
- Management do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.
- Disruptive or abusive behaviour towards staff, artists (including models, tutors and performers) or Centre users will not be tolerated. Management reserves the right to remove and bar a customer from the Centre if behaviour is deemed inappropriate, or causes (or has the potential to cause) offence.
- Latecomers may have to wait until a suitable time to enter or may be refused admission.

- Classes and workshops are facilitated by our experienced bank of freelance tutors. We ask that their direction and instruction be respected at all times.
- Attendees should be present to register or collect tickets at least 15 minutes prior to start times, otherwise seating may be reallocated.
- All audience members must be in possession of a ticket.
- Young children must not be left unattended outside allocated class times. If a child requires any personal assistance the parent/carer will be expected to remain on the premises for the duration of the class attended.
- Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to events. Children under the age of 3 are not permitted to Centre events except where an event is aimed specifically at this age group. Other age restrictions may apply.
- Liability for independent classes, events and workshops lies solely with the respective independent tutors or organisations and follow their terms & conditions.
- Event attendees should be present to register or collect tickets at least 15 minutes prior to start times, otherwise seating may be reallocated. All audience members must be in possession of a ticket. Latecomers may be refused admission. The management reserve the right to refuse admission.
Accessibility
- The Centre’s Safeguarding Policy is available upon request.
- All Centre material is available in large print, Braille or other formats upon request.
Other
- Unless otherwise stated all graphics, logos and commercial markings are registered trademarks. Any use, copying, reproduction, republishing, uploading, posting, transmission or modification, including in advertising or publicity pertaining to or distribution of materials is prohibited without prior written consent.
- Management reserve the right to make reasonable changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
