Saturday Stitch & Natter
Sewing
Come and join us for a relaxing Stitch and Natter session in The Crescent Café. Taking our inspiration from mid-century art and wallpaper we will work together to create a charming mobile afloat with tea and coffee pots, sugar bowls and jugs, which will be displayed in The Crescent once complete. Simple sewing stitches and embroidery techniques will be used with guidance and support from tutor Linda O'Kane. This is a relaxed environment with all skill-levels welcome. All materials will be provided as well as free tea, coffee and biscuits.
About the Tutor
Linda has worked in the Antiques/Interior Decoration trade for over 30 years.
As a self-taught Decorative Artist, she has worked in homes throughout the UK, including some superior hotels. She has a City & Guilds in Floristry and loves to grow her own flowers.
A lifelong love of sewing, patchwork and cross stitching has enabled her to gain excellent experience over the years. She really enjoys teaching, sharing her knowledge, and hopefully inspiring others to get creative.
