With the Martín Crawford Award submission closing at midday on Wednesday 11 March, join judge Wendy Erskine for a workshop aimed at writers seeking advice, guidance and practical approaches to assembling and presenting short stories for submission.
This workshop will be online. Registration is required is receive the Zoom link.
Traditionally the Award workshops been free. You can absolutely still sign up with no cost attached; but if you’d like to make a contribution to Crescent activity – as sometimes we get asked about - you’d be very welcome to.

About the judge
Wendy Erskine is the author of two short story collections, Sweet Home and Dance Move. She edited an anthology, well I just kind of like it, on art in the home and the home as art. Her non-fiction has appeared in The Guardian, the Quietus and many other publications. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, she has been listed for the Edgehill Prize, the Republic of Consciousness Prize, the Gordon Burn Prize and The Sunday Times Short Story Award. She was awarded the Butler Prize for Literature. She hosts a radio show on Soho Radio for Rough Trade Books and is a full-time secondary school teacher.
