Creative Writing

This workshop looks at how setting can function as more than background, shaping mood, tension, and meaning within a story.

Using short extracts from published fiction alongside generative exercises, participants will explore place as an active force in narrative, and how physical environments can reflect inner states, power dynamics, and conflict.

Writers will leave with practical strategies for making setting vivid, purposeful, and integral to their storytelling.
