Arts & Craft
Join us for Saturday Kids Craft at The Crescent to make a felt Christmas decoration ready for the festive season, which will be guided step-by-step by tutor Mahsa Jahangirpour.
Using a range of provided materials, this will be a chance for kids to get crafty, creative and leave the workshop with a project all of their own making. A keep-sake for your tree for years to come!
All materials are included in the ticket price. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
About the tutor
Mahsa is an Aryan girl from the land of Iran. She arrived in Northern Ireland in September 2020 and now lives in Belfast with her husband, son and two daughters. Her specialisms include painting, calligraphy, sewing, working with felt, craft art, recycle craft art, macramé, room set and interior design.
Mahsa became a volunteer for Anaka Women’s Collective in 2021. She works as an arts and crafts voluenteer and facilitator for Anaka Women’s Collective and also for local communities with different age groups in Belfast.
With an interest in using art to treat trauma, Mahsa undertook and completed a trauma course with CMBM in North America. Her goal is to integrate art and trauma treatment.
As she cogently observes: ‘Art is one of the best ways to calm and soothe the soul, creating and seeing a piece of your own art at home will definitely bring you peace and happiness with every look.’
