New Workshop

Using nature and a few supplementary techniques, you will learn how to create beautiful handmade prints using a gelatin or “gel” plate.

Have fun playing with print and creating your own mini collection!

You will begin at The Crescent then walk together to the Botanic Gardens, where we’ll stop and collect some pieces from nature.

Please note that the walk will take approximately 14 minutes each way (0.6 miles) up a gentle hill on public pavements.

This workshop is for those 18+ years. The workshop will still take place even if inclement weather and we ask that you dress appropriately for the weather.

Please also do let us know if you have any accessibility or additional needs.

Materials will be provided, though students are asked to bring the following:

around 20 sheets of A4 printer / copier paper

About the Tutor

Beverley Healy is a freelance Artist with a BA Hons Fine Art; PgDip History of Art & Design.

She has been running workshops and classes in healthcare and community settings for over 25 years. This has incorporated working with craft media such as silk painting, mosaic, printmaking, collage and collaborating with other artists.

Her personal specialism is portraiture and imaginative painting, imbued with a distinct love of colour. She has won several National and International Awards and her work is held in public and private collections in Europe and America.

She recently published an art book on a personal theme of faith and promises and this has made its way around the world from Chile to Australia!
