Creative Writing
A key aspect of creativity is making connections: between different objects, ideas and experiences, or between our internal and external worlds. These connections can emerge through conscious processes, such as comparing, contrasting, and structured creative thinking activities. The invisible processes of imagining, dreaming and intuiting can also lead to the creation of new connections, metaphors and art works.
In this workshop, we will experience different ways of making connections, in order to develop new pieces of writing and/or ideas for creative projects. Prompts will include poems, prose, objects and images. Writers of all levels of experience are welcome, as are arts practitioners from other fields, such as visual art and music. We will base our explorations on the overarching theme of ‘journeys’.
