Dance
This workshop is designed for anyone who dances Argentine tango and is curious about other forms of dance or movement that can help them progress in their tango life!
Throughout the session you will learn some of the basic concepts of contemporary dance that can benefit your tango body including the sense of release, standing leg vs. free leg, spine mobility, connection to the floor, adapting to variations in timing and rhythm with the music, and some ideas on dynamics.
You do not need to have any experience of contemporary dance. This is an invitation for all you tanguero/as to move your bodies in a different (even enjoyable!) way in order to support your growth in tango.
No partner is required
Clothing – anything you feel comfortable moving in
Footwear – bare feet or socks
Level: Some tango experience necessary but no contemporary dance experience required.
