Maiden Voyage Dance

Maiden Voyage is an artist-led commissioning company offering discoveries in dance with, by, and for, artists, audiences and participants.

Tell us a bit about what your company does.

We commission and produce distinctive dance performances across three strands; Maiden Belfast theatre venue-based performances; Dance Exposed short new works for public space; and Off Spring new work for young and family audiences.

We offer professional development and specialist training for the dance sector including regular prodance classes, intensives and mentoring.

Our learning and participation programme is closely aligned to the company’s artistic output and also currently includes the Belfast Movement Choir programme funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Move Fit a physical and mental health & well-being programme for primary schools funded by Garfield Weston Foundation.

Maiden Voyage is funded by Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council.
