Theatre
Come along and join us as The Crescent Arts Youth Theatre presents Fresh Air. Written by Vickie Donoghue as part of The National Theatre Connections Festival 2025.
Fresh Air, directed by Andrea Grimason, is about a group of students from a Pupil Referral group who are made to go orienteering in what they discover are Ireland’s most haunted woods.
Stalked by eerie ghost children determined to keep them there forever, they must learn to confront the here and now to unlock the key to their futures.
National Theatre Connections 2025
Connections is the National Theatre’s annual, nationwide youth theatre festival. The programme is 30 years old and has a history of championing the talent of young people from across the UK.
Each year Connections commissions new plays for young people to perform. The programme brings together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow.
The Crescent Youth Theatre
The Crescent Youth Theatre was formed in 2013 and this will be the eighth time that the group has participated in the National Theatre’s Connections Festival. The group is made up of a diverse range of young people aged from 13 to 19, and since its founding has gone from strength to strength.
We’re excited about this play. Come and share it with us.
