NI Science Festival: How a Flexible Mind can help you thrive

NI Science Festival

We are delighted to welcome NI Science Festival to The Crescent this February for a series of events.

Modern life urges us to push relentlessly for what looks like success and to be resolute in avoiding anything less. But at what cost? Rates of burnout are on the rise.

For clinical psychologist Ross White, a Tanzanian proverb - 'The wind does not break the tree that bends' signals the solution...

In his new book, The Tree That Bends: How a Flexible Mind can help you thrive, he suggests ways to develop a flexible mind so that you can thrive, whatever storms life may throw at you.

Established in 2014, NI Science Festival has grown to become the largest celebration of its kind on the island of Ireland and in its relatively short lifespan became one of the leading Science Festivals in the whole of Europe.

The festival offers a stimulating and wide range of events focusing on the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. These events present some of the best scientists from NI and beyond to discuss their work, cutting-edge research and what the future might hold.
