Irish PEN/PEN na hÉireann

JoinIrish PEN/PEN na hÉireann throughout the Festival to write to writers who are at risk or in prison because of their work.

Festival attendees will have the opportunity to write a few words of encouragement and solidarity to these people and/or their families.

PEN Friends chooses recipients from the PEN International Case list and selected writers' information will be shared during the festival.

Cameroonian poet Enos Meyomesse received PEN letters while he was in prison and stated: “Your letters set me free. Your postcards broke my chains.”
