We are thrilled to welcome to The Crescent this December the incredible Gráinne Duffy who will present with her band her latesst album Dirt Woman Blues which has been listed for consideration of this year’s GRAMMY nominations for Best American Roots Song and Best Contemporary Blues Album.

Gráinne Duffy is a blues rock artist from Co. Monaghan. She has appeared on many stages including Mahindra Blues Festival (India) where she shared the stage with Billy Gibbons, Eric Gales, Shemekia Copeland and Supersonic Blues Machine. 2014 and 2015 saw Grainne as winner in Blues Matters Writers Poll in the categories Best Vocalist and Best Solo Artist.
Alongside this she topped the all-female led bill at Cornbury Festival 2018 alongside Alanis Morissette and Mavis Staples.
Her 4th studio album Voodoo Blues (October 2020) was warmly received internationally, achieving #7 in UK IBBA Top 40, #13 in USA RMR Top 50 and #8 in France Powerblues charts. It also earned Duffy the winner in the Independent Blues Awards 2021 in the category Best Modern Roots Artist.
Her latest album which was released in May of this year, was produced by Chris Golsmith (Ben Harper) and Marc Ford (The Black Crowes). The album reached #1 in the American RMR Top 50 Blues Albums and #2 in the Australian Top 30 Blues Airplay. It has also been listed for consideration of this year’s GRAMMY nominations for Best American Roots Song and Best Contemporary Blues Album.
