Songwriter and 21st Century Troubadour Andy White gets back home to play Belfast this Christmas with latest release Good Luck I Hope You Make It. He, and keyboard wizard Rod McVey, launched the album in The Crescent Arts Centre at the start of the year. They had such a good time they return on Friday 13 December.

"It's always lucky 13 at the Crescent", says Andy, "I remember playing there in the 70s and we survived the wiring."

The Irish Times have called the album “Poetic reflections on a world gone stark raving mad”, UK mag Maximum Volume "Delightfully edgy and totally enthralling". One of BBC Radio Ulster presenter Stephen McCauley's records of the year, Stephen caught Andy and Rod playing at the Stendhal Festival last July and called their performance "my set of the festival".

The Belfast show is a rare occasion to hear the new songs live. Andy will be performing many of them for the first time and will bring bass and breakbeats from the album recordings as well as his acoustic guitar. Plus, of course, he will play whatever tracks you would like to hear from their extensive back catalogue.

White has written with Peter Gabriel, Allison Russell, Christine Anu and Liam Ó Maonlaí. He has been produced by John Leckie and Donal Lunny, and recorded with Billy Bragg and Sinéad O’Connor. Famous friends, but the essence of what he does is in concert with his acoustic guitar, a bunch of pedals, a Fender amp, and a fabulous word count.

The last Crescent show was a special occasion – family, friends and fans came from far and wide.

Be sure to grab a ticket quick. Good luck, we hope you make it.
