Writing Poetry for Post-Beginners & Intermediate

This 6-week course will provide a space for those who have some experience writing poetry but who are interested in taking their work further through group-critique and writing prompts.

Whether your interest is traditional, experimental, performance or anything in-between, you will develop your writing by exploring various forms, subject matters, techniques, and styles.

You will also receive expert, practical advice about submitting your poetry to magazines and journals, helping you get your work out into the world.

About the Tutor

Dane Holt is a poet and PhD student at Queen’s University, Belfast. His work has appeared in numerous publications in the UK and Ireland. His PhD explores poetry and class in the work of Tony Harrison and Peter Reading.

He is poetry editor for The Tangerine, a magazine of new writing based in Belfast.
