Traditional Irish singing, often called sean-nós ("old style"), is an unaccompanied and expressive form of vocal music rooted in Ireland's heritage. Known for its free rhythm, rich ornamentation, and emotional depth, these songs are passed down orally, preserving stories of love, loss, and history.
Students will learn to sing a variety of some of Ireland's lesser-known traditional songs, discover their origins and the stories they tell us of the past.
Whether you are a beginner or very familiar with sean-nós singing, come along and become a part of the vibrant tradition of story-telling in Irish music.
