The Art of Creating Loose Landscapes

This 6-week course will teach you, whatever stage you are at with your painting,  to paint loose semi abstract landscapes using acrylics. It is a journey to unravel the need for perfectionism in your painting!

We will learn how to simplify a view and then to translate it through paint in a lively and gestural way. 

During the course we are inspired by semi abstract artists of today and throughout history. There will be a focus on emotive mark making, colour theory and, creating movement in your landscapes. Using charcoal and acrylic paint the course will develop skills for loose painting and dramatically improve your confidence in the application of paint.

Over the course Aly will provide images to work from until the final week when we can work from and translate your view of choice into a beautiful semi abstract landscape worth framing!
