Tango: Beginners Continuation

Dance

Argentine Tango is a dance based on walking and improvisation. The music carries you through the movement and you build beautiful relationships with fellow dancers. This course is focused on social tango—the style danced in milongas (tango social dance events) all over the world.

Argentine Tango offers a wide range of physical, mental, and social health benefits. It's a great way to improve cardiovascular fitness, balance, coordination, posture, and flexibility. The social aspect of tango fosters a sense of community and belonging, contributing to overall well-being.

This is a 5-week “beginners continuation course”, aimed at those who have completed the beginners block 1 or those at post-beginner/improver level. Throughout the course you will learn from three different tutors, all of whom bring a wealth of skills to the classroom

Throughout this course, you will learn from three different tutors, all of whom bring a wealth of skills to the classroom. You will work progressively on dancing in couples and enrich this with some study of the music and history of tango. Each week will bring new movements which, by the end of the course, will mean you can dance with anyone, anywhere, and bring the beauty of your tango wherever you go.

No need to come with a partner. Please do indicate at registration if you would like to learn the leader or follower role or both.

We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes without rubber soles.
