This is a 10-week course aimed at those new to Spanish.
By the end of the term you will be able to interact and converse in basic social situations.
You will be able to introduce yourself and ask for food (and drinks) in restaurants.
You will also get an introduction to basic pronunciation and grammar in an interactive and fun way.
Course runs half term week, but no class Wednesday 4 AND 11 March or Friday 6 AND 13 March.
About the tutor
Ximena Arias-Manzano SFHEA, MAEd, PGCFHE, BAEd.
Ximena is an academic, Staff Tutor, at the Open University’s School of Languages and Applied Linguistics; a teacher-trainer as well as a Spanish language teacher at Queen’s University in Belfast. At the OU she is involved in the design and production of course materials; co-author of Module material in Spanish and critical reader for material in Italian and Mandarin Chinese
Her areas of research interests are on Multilingualism, Teaching languages through the medium of games and Teaching languages to adults with Dyslexia.
