New Course

Queer poetry has as long and rich a lineage as ‘canonical' poetry, and in this course you will explore historical and contemporary queer poets to tap into a historical understanding of queer literary lineage, to expand your own writing, and to broaden your belief in your own writing as queer poets today.

The course will begin with reading selections from prominent queer poets like Elizabeth Bishop, Richard Siken, Sappho and others, and you will write new work that emerge from these discussions.

This course is a blend of writing and reading, and is intended for poets seeking to broaden their knowledge as much as their poetic toolkit.
