The poet Billy Collins said, “I think of a poem as a flashlight, an instrument of discovery.”

In this workshop, you will explore poems which can inspire the imagination and self-expression and create a sense of hope. By the end of the workshop, you will have read some poems on the themes of hope and self-discovery and written two drafts of poems/pieces of prose.

You will also discover ideas for how poetry can be used for self-support in times of stress.
