Throughout this 11-week course you will explore painting with soft and oil pastels where you use the technique of mixing colours on the paper instead of the palette.
You will investigate the influence of paper colour and texture on our pictures and a variety of mark-making, colour mixing, blending techniques and colour theory.
Students will also learn how to draw using observational mapping techniques as well as free hand drawing.
Reference images including landscapes, figures, animals/wildlife, and still life will be supplied for tutor demonstrations and students are encouraged to also work from their own images.
