Life drawing: Absolute Beginners

This Absolute Beginner’s course is the perfect opportunity for those with no experience in Life Drawing and looking to start their journey.

Throughout this 5-week term, you will draw from a variety of poses, both long and short as you are guided through the fundamental elements of life drawing including gesture, structure, form, tone, and proportion.

In a creative and encouraging environment, you will grasp basic techniques and further your observational skills, which will give you the confidence to progress on to other Life Drawing courses. 

About the Tutor

Hattie Godfrey is an artist and researcher whose work spans performance, installation, drawing and writing. 

Hattie trained in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (UAL) and Goldsmiths (University of London) and in Msc Psychological Science at Queens University Belfast.

Her research is primarily focused on how art can confront and reshape ideologies of health. She is a studio holder at Flax Art Studios and the creative director and co-founder of Figure This Life Drawing.
