This is a highly motivated and encouraging course where you will learn to see line, shadow and shapes in relation to each other.
You will learn how to transfer the proportions of the human body to paper and how to achieve the illusion of three dimensions through the study of foreshortening, perspective and tonal harmony. During the term you will progress from quick sketches to more sustained studies of the human body. You will be guided on how to consider proportion, linear sensitivity and tonal relationships while you adjust your drawing to what you are learning to see.
This course is suitable for all levels.
