Learn To Love Your Sewing Machine

Whether you are taking it out of the box for the first time or returning to it having forgotten the basics, come and learn the fundamentals of what your sewing machine is capable of and how best to use it.

Students will begin the 12 week course with learning all the basic skills required for completing a sewing project of their choice. All materials for the first 4-5 weeks of skills provided.

Student then choose a pattern and some fabric of their own to complete a project in whatever area of sewing they would like to pursue. From homewares to clothes, the possibilities are endless.

Improvers are also welcome to join the class.

Please note, students must bring their own sewing machine.

 About the tutor

Katie Harte is originally from Dublin but has been creating and teaching in Belfast for over 10 years. With a background in material science, she loves investigating materials and fibres.

She is currently a freelance knitter for Hope Macaulay while also working on her own designs in both sewing and knitting.
