Learn to Knit

Knitting is an incredibly beautiful and versatile craft. It can be used as an expression of creativity and a means of mindfulness. Projects can be as simple or complicated as you like.

In this 12-week course you will acquire the basics of casting on and off, knitting plain and purl stitches and complete a simple project.

Materials will be provided for the course but students can bring down their own yarn if they have specific ones they want to create with.

About the tutor

Katie Harte is originally from Dublin but has been creating and teaching in Belfast for over 10 years. With a background in material science, she loves investigating materials and fibres.

She is currently a freelance knitter for Hope Macaulay while also working on her own designs in both sewing and knitting.
