Discover Juana Romani, an Italian‑born painter who made her name in the artistic world of Belle Époque Paris, a time when women artists were still rare and often overlooked.
From her beginnings as an art model to studying under leading painters and winning critical praise at the Paris Salons, Romani created richly expressive portraits of women that captivated audiences in Europe around 1900.
This lower‑intermediate to intermediate Italian course brings her world to life with interactive, student‑centered activities in pairs and groups, combining language practice with fascinating cultural and artistic insights.
There will be no session 21 May.
