Introduction to Silk Painting

This one day workshop is an introduction to the basics of Silk Painting for those new to the art form. 

During the session, you will discover the different techniques of silk painting and create a simple painting and patterned piece to take home. Come and have fun with colour and see what appears! 

No experience is required.

About the Tutor 

Beverley Healy is a freelance Artist with a BA Hons Fine Art; PgDip History of Art & Design.

She has been running workshops and classes in healthcare and community settings for over 25 years. This has incorporated working with craft media such as silk painting, mosaic, printmaking, collage and collaborating with other artists.

Her personal specialism is portraiture and imaginative painting, imbued with a distinct love of colour. She has won several National and International Awards and her work is held in public and private collections in Europe and America.

She recently published an art book on a personal theme of faith and promises and this has made its way around the world from Chile to Australia!
