Introduction to Sign Language: Continuation

This course is designed to be a continuation course for those who participated in JOhn's Introduction to Sign Langauge Course which ran in Part 1 of Autumn Term or for those who have basic skills and are looking to continue their learning. It will also offer you the opportunity to learn to communicate with Deaf people who use Sign Language and aims to provide you with information on Deafness and the Deaf Community.

By the end of the course you should be able to communicate and use your new skills with Deaf people.  

A course certificate will be given out at the end of the course.

About the Tutor

John is a qualified Sign Language tutor covering British Sign Language and Irish Sign Language teaching courses.

He underwent training at the University of Durham, completing British Sign Language Tutors Training Course and gained a CIPD course certificate. John has worked with one of the main Examination Boards dealing with Communication Skills and Training Deaf Tutors has also worked for over 23 years with the RNID now known as Action On Hearing Loss.
