Guitar: Lower Intermediate

This course is for those who are comfortable with the basic chords and want to continue to progress towards arrangement and perhaps composition.

Through the term, examples from the tutor will be used to develop more involved techniques that can then be applied to whatever music you’d like.

More ear-training and simple breakdowns of music theory will be applied in this course.

If bringing an electric guitar, please bring a small amplifier.

About the Tutor 

David Browne Murray is among the most renowned figures within the finger-style guitar movement in Ireland. At the forefront of the scene his musicality and style amaze and enwrap audiences wherever he performs.

David attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts on scholarship when he turned nineteen. He has performed far and wide and in 2011 he won the Yamaha Six String International Guitar Competition which led to performances in Montana and Connecticut. 

David is also in demand as a sound-engineer and is the lead engineer and producer at First Port Of Call Recording Studies, Dock Street Belfast. He has experience teaching publicly and privately with specialisations in finger-style composition, ear-training and arrangement for solo guitar.
