Instruments
This class is for players who already know a few chords and can play some songs — but feel stuck.
In Guitar Improvers, we’ll unlock the fretboard so you can understand what you’re playing, not just copy shapes.
You’ll learn how chords are built, how to move them around the neck, how to create richer sounds, and how to add rhythm, groove, and fingerpicking to your playing. This course is all about turning you from a chord-player into a real guitarist.
Prerequisites:
You should be able to:
•Play basic open chords (e.g. G, C, D, Em, Am)
•Change between chords smoothly
•Play at least a few complete songs
If you’re not a total beginner, this class is for you.
What We’ll Cover
•Understanding the fretboard and where notes come from
•How chords are built (and how to make your own)
•Movable chord shapes and barre chords
•Creating richer, more interesting chord voicings
•Improving rhythm, groove, and timing
•Playing more advanced strumming patterns
•Introduction to fingerpicking and picking patterns
•How to make your playing sound more musical and expressive
By the end of the course, you’ll feel much more confident navigating the guitar, learning songs faster, and have a solid understanding of more complex chords.
