This course is Part 2 of The Crescent's Fingerstyle Guitar Beginners course.
In the second part of the course, you’ll build on the foundational skills by learning how to combine rhythm, bass, and melody into complete solo arrangements.
We’ll explore more intricate patterns and begin learning instrumental pieces such as Freight Train by Elizabeth Cotten and Windy and Warm by John D. Loudermilk. We will also look at some fingersylefunk with some Stevie Wonder.
This block emphasizes musical expression and independence between the thumb and fingers, helping you grow into a more dynamic fingerstyle player.

Prerequisites:
Students should be comfortable playing open chords, switching between them smoothly, and performing basic strumming patterns. Prior knowledge of tablature is helpful but not required.

Joe Kennedy is a professional guitarist with over 20 years of experience playing fingerstyle guitar, inspired by Tommy Emmanuel from the young age of 7. he has built a successful career performing music at weddings, private events, and live venues—both as a solo instrumentalist and as an accompanist for vocalists.
