Draw and Paint a Still Life

Join artist Karl Hagan in our Studio for this 10-Week course in drawing and painting the Still Life.

At each session you will work with a still life to explore measurements, proportions, colour and space under expert guidance.

Whether new or returning, this class will be a relaxed and creative space to paint, draw and improve your life drawing skills.

About the tutor

Karl Hagan is an Artist based in Belfast, primarily working in oil painting.

Graduating in 2018 from Belfast School of Art, Ulster University in Painting he assumed the role of artist in residence the following year and works as a casual lecturer on the Foundation Art and Design course in the University.

Karl's work looks to history to find solutions to things that are happening today. His work is rooted in art history looking at painters such as Rubens, Goya and Velasquez, to learn how they looked at the world and how that can be relative for an artist today.
