Whether you’re an Olympic athlete or you struggle to get off the sofa, a Nia class can help you to feel brilliant in your body by helping you to discover the joy of movement.

Nia is a non-impact, expressive movement program designed to achieve whole body fitness and cardiovascular conditioning. Using a combination of the dance arts, martial arts and healing arts, Nia promotes the development of a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the body.

The session will include mindful movement that will develop the flexibility, mobility, stability, strength and agility of your body and mind through crafted choreography and varied music. It is an excellent practice to combat stress and stiffness and aims to leave you feeling energized and ready to take on the world.

Nia is danced barefoot in comfortable clothing. No prior experience is necessary as Nia is appropriate for all levels of mobility and fitness.  Every BODY is welcome.

Meet the Tutor

Rose has been dancing Nia since she discovered it whilst living in Beijing in 2015 and it has transformed her life.

She went from thinking that exercise had to hurt if it was going to do you any good to discovering magic through music and movement.

A secondary school language and literature teacher by trade and a traveler at heart, she is now a Blue Belt trained Nia instructor and Moving to Heal practitioner bringing the Joy of Movement to Northern Ireland.
