This course is an engaging and accessible introduction to Standard European Ballroom dancing for adults of all levels.

Explore the elegant world of Standard Ballroom dance through foundational steps and rhythms from popular styles such as the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Each session introduces key techniques and movements, gradually building toward short routines that bring these beautiful dances to life.

Classes are designed to improve coordination, posture, rhythm, and musicality, with special emphasis on classic ballroom frame, alignment, and graceful connection between partners. Working closely with your partner, you will gain confidence on the dance floor while moving to the timeless melodies and sophisticated flow of European ballroom music.

Expect a motivating and supportive environment where skills grow steadily, stamina improves, and a full-body workout is built into the experience — all while discovering the joy of dance.

By the end of the course, couples will be able to perform basic Standard Ballroom dance sequences together with clarity, confidence, and style.

Please note:

• A partner is required as this course is taught exclusively in pairs; you can book solo but you will be paired up in class.
• Select at booking either the role of Follower or Leader.
• If your preferred role is not available, please register your name on our waiting list for that role and we will be in touch if space becomes available.

Tap shoes are not required; just bring comfortable, flexible footwear that allows you to move easily and pivot. Dance shoes or ballroom-style shoes are ideal, but not essential.
