Contemporary dance and choreography is a 12-week term for beginners incorporating contemporary dance,  movement exploration, and choreography. This course is a perfect introduction to the contemporary dance approach to movement and creativity. This two-hour session combines structured warm-up sequences along with open-ended movement exploration. Guided improvisation will give you the chance to explore your own internal body connections and find smooth, efficient ways to move out into the space.

Finding a sense of wholeness through movement is the ideal foundation for creative expression. This course will introduce aspects of the 'releasing' technique to help you find freedom in movement and offer various ways to explore the dance medium. You will have the chance to 'play' with choreographic ideas and explore the creative methods of a professional choreographer, giving you the opportunity to unlock your own creative expression.

Join us to explore creativity through movement in a relaxed, supportive environment that will suit newcomers to contemporary dance.
