A variation on the Granny Square, this lovely blanket is made up of hexagons and the finished shape is a hexagon, its delicate detailing makes it a great blanket for all ages.

This course is suitable for those who can crochet and those who would like to be able to.

This course will be the perfect thing to do in the colder months whilst chatting with fellow crocheters.

Tutor's List of Suggested Materials:

Wool

10oz (270g) superwash merino double knitting wool in small quantities.

You can choose as many colours as you want. You could select  shades of one colour or go for a riot of colours

You could buy acrylic rather than wool to save in expense. If you have lots of wool scraps you could use these and just buy a white or cream to do the background.

10oz (270g) superwash merino DK in cream or natural for background.

This does not have to be cream it could be a tone to match your other colours or black or grey for a more dramatic look.

Tutor Linda plans to use Drops Karisma superwash DK yarn from Camelia Yarns on Etsy. She will use 4 colours for the centres and a toning darker shade for the background.

Tools

4mm (UK 8 or US 6) crochet hook.

Small scissors or snips

Darning needle
