Contemporary Dance: Intermediate
Dance
This course is great for experienced contemporary dancers or dancers with high levels of experience in other styles.
The classes will explore guided improvisations alongside working on contemporary dance technique. There will be a strong focus on musicality and creativity whilst building strength and trust in the body.
Rebecca is a local dance artist whose love for teaching dance began alongside her own advanced Royal Academy of Dance ballet training. Pre-professionally she performed in Ballet, Contemporary and Musical Theatre dance styles including working with the English Youth Ballet Company in 2016 and again in 2018.
Training professionally at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, she obtained her BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance in 2021 which allowed her to further develop her career at the University of Salford with a Master’s degree in Creative Dance Education. Whilst studying, she danced professionally with dance companies the north east of England and beyond. Rebecca wS also a GradLab participant with Maiden Voyage in 2021.
Rebecca has worked in delivering high-quality dance education to all ages across pre-schools, nurseries, primary schools and dance schools across the UK and Ireland. She encourages everyone to dance and regularly teaches beginner adult ballet, contemporary and musical theatre.
