Join the Very Secret Florist for a relaxed workshop of creative floral styling just in time for Halloween.
You will enjoy working with seasonal flowers and be guided through the steps to create a beautiful wreath or floral doorstep display to take home or give as a gift.
You will be inspired by colourful streamed images and learn the secrets of the florist to try on your own at home.
Pumpkins, foliage and inspiration will be provided, just bring your own bunch of flowers, secateurs and your imagination.
About the Tutor
With over 35 years’ experience in Museum and Galleries, 23 at the Imperial War Museums London as Display and Exhibitions Manager, Ciaran Doran is delighted to be undertaking a series of curated workshops at The Crescent.
Based in Belfast, since 2006, Ciaran is as an Independent Museum & Collections Consultant providing creative curated workshops, collections and project management, museum management, collections care and display and presentation.
Ciaran’s expertise and experience also covers areas of design, branding, presentation and styling of exhibitions as well as textiles and set dressing.
Ciaran regularly works with museums and galleries in both the Public and Private sector, private collections, libraries, charities and community groups. She has previously worked with the following organisations: The Grand Opera House, The Northern Ireland War Memorial, EON Productions -James Bond Archive London, Linen Hall Library, Visit Belfast, Belfast City Council, Arts Care and The Northern Ireland Museums Council.
She is currently involved in projects with Historic Royal Palaces for Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.
Ciaran has valuable experience presenting realistic and compelling curated workshops .
Her workshops are presented informally and designed to suit all age groups, the emphasis is to encourage further discussion, project work and support future visits to museums and galleries. A short introductory talk and signposting for more information is included .
Ciaran also designs and present short creative presentations illustrating her valuable experience working in Arts & Cultural Heritage.
