Art Lounge is a 4-week course designed for creative exploration.
Tailored for teens aged 14-17, this course offers a laid-back and open environment. A variety of art materials are laid out, providing teens the freedom to decide their artistic direction in a relaxed atmosphere.
Whether it's painting, drawing, portraiture, or collage, the tutor will guide each student on creating their own unique artworks and encourage exploration and experimentation.
Art Materials will be provided and include:
- Acrylic and watercolour paints.
- Various drawing pencils, charcoal, and sketching materials.
- Canvas materials, drawing paper, and art boards. Brushes, palette knives, and other basic tools.
- Collage materials such as magazines, newspapers, and textured papers. Mark-making tools like salt and sponges for experimental techniques.
Please bring to the sessions an a5 sketchbook and references/inspiration to work from.

About the tutor:
Alana is a visual artist based in Belfast. Working primarily in oils, her paintings explore childhood and family relationships. Using a blend of figurative and abstract elements, she examines how complex emotions are captured in delicate gestures and expressions.
