This course is aimed at those who have taken The Crescent’s Beginners Arabic course or have some basic knowledge of the language and are looking to improve their skills. You will continue to learn Arabic script and simple everyday vocabulary such as greetings, food, and family.
As you will not be able to read full sentences at this stage, you will first learn through transliteration (writing the words and phrases as they sound in English).
By the end of the 11-week course, you will be able to recognise common words, phrases and sentences, and read short simple texts in Arabic. The course is based on a communicative approach with a lot of speaking practice using real-life scenarios.

About the tutor
She has have been teaching Arabic to Adults for the last 7 years and has extensive experience in teaching and training.
Rym has also developed an online Arabic course in collaboration with the University of Ulster through an Invest NI innovation voucher.
