Join us for this 7-week course, where you will learn how to appliquê, embroider and the simple patchwork skill required to make an attractive, small quilt or wall hanging.
The quilt will be based on a pattern by Textile Artist Janine Pope who is known for her wonderful Nissen (pixies) and machine embroidery. The tutor has adapted the pattern so that it can be stitched by hand; apart from the making up. This part of the process can be done at home on your own machine, or in-class making use of the tutors' machine.
All are welcome to class although some basic sewing knowledge would be useful.
You will be provided with a list of materials before the course begins, most of which you may already have.
Some why not come along and enjoy yourself, and learn the techniques required to go on to make a full-sized quilt.
