Appliqué and Embroidery

Using an antique French bed cover as inspiration, during this 5-week course you will appliqué and embroider large butterflies into a backing fabric. This will then be quilted and made up into a soft, structured shoulder bag.
It is an ideal opportunity to use up precious scraps or to recycle clothing or scarves.
You will be sent a list of materials that you will need to bring to class to complete this project.
No previous experience is necessary as the tutor will guide you along the way and at every step, and will be a lovely relaxing way to spend a couple of hours each week.
No class 3rd May.
About the Tutor
Linda has worked in the Antiques/Interior Decoration trade for over 30 years.
As a self-taught Decorative Artist she has worked in homes throughout the UK, including some superior hotels.
She has a City & Guilds in Floristry and loves to grow her own flowers.
A lifelong love of sewing, patchwork and cross stitch has enabled her to gain excellent experience over the years.
She really enjoys teaching, sharing her knowledge and hopefully inspiring others to get creative.
