Book NowJoin us for an unforgettable afternoon of Argentine Tango!
Spend a joyful afternoon discovering the beauty, connection, and artistry of Argentine Tango.
Together, we'll gently awaken the body and focus the mind before exploring solo movement to develop balance, posture, and fluidity. From there, we'll work in pairs, learning how to communicate through movement and music while building confidence and connection with a partner. We'll finish by bringing everyone together to learn a fun piece of choreography, celebrating the energy and magic of dancing as one.
Argentine Tango is one of the world's most elegant and expressive dances—both delicate and powerful. It invites you to experience a unique form of communication, where every step becomes a conversation through movement and music.
Whether you're completely new to tango or have danced before, you're warmly welcome.
We can't wait to share our love of tango with you!

About the tutor
Maeve McGreevy is a dance artist from Belfast, Northern Ireland, working at the intersection of contemporary dance, Argentine tango, and Argentine folklore. A graduate of the London Contemporary Dance School, she earned a First-Class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance and received the Charlotte Kirkpatrick Award for Exceptional Potential as a Dance Artist. Her practice is rooted in a deep exploration of movement, musicality, and connection. Drawing on both contemporary and social dance traditions, she approaches dance as a living dialogue—between bodies, music, and shared experience.
Maeve has taught and performed throughout the UK, Europe, and the United States, collaborating with artists including Tomás Corbalán, Slava Ivanov, Emilio Cornejo, Mariano Laplume, and Augusto Freeman. These collaborations have shaped a distinctive artistic voice that blends technical precision with expressive freedom.
As a teacher, she is known for her clear communication, detailed technical approach, and sensitive attention to musicality. Her classes encourage dancers to develop confidence, refine their movement, and discover deeper possibilities for creativity, connection, and personal expression within the dance.
She is co-founder and co-director of Tango Academy of Ireland alongside Laura McGeough, and is co-founder and area coordinator of Belfast Tango Motion alongside Augusto Freeman - two ventures dedicated to developing the tango scene in Ireland for all!
