Belfast Fleadh at The Crescent

This August Belfast will host, for the first time ever, Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the world’s biggest celebration of Irish music and culture.
Running from Sunday 2 August to Sunday 9 August 2026, The Crescent is excited to welcome folks to the South Belfast Cultural Quarter.
Here are more details about activity happening at The Crescent during the Fleadh:
In the Cube (Fringe programme)
- Monday 3rd > Off The Scéal: Multilingual Open Mic Night
- Friday 7th > Dean Friedman: In Concert
- Saturday 8th > Belfast Rebel Harp: Ursula Burns
In the Café
- Exhibition: Film Poems. Watch films of remarkable poems. Pick up a headset to listen in. Featuring Mícheál McCann, Susanna Galbraith, Bebe Ashley, Abby Oliveira and Emma Must. This Exhibition was part of Belfast Book Festival 2026 and in partnership with The Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation. Videography/Photography by Matthew Thompson.
- Café Husk will be open throughout the Fleadh serving refreshments and light bites.
- Musicians are welcome to find a spot in the cafe to play a tune or two.
