This January at The Crescent One Two One Two and Hugh Farrell present the Irish tour of Recovery.
Recovery is a staging of an original concept album and is an incredible new piece of theatre work. Four actors live loop their vocals into a soundscape to sing a twelve-part song cycle painting a tender portrait of a fractured modern family dealing with life after a crisis.
Winner of the Romilly Walton-Masters Performance Award for experimental theatre in Paris last year, Rocovery invites us, in near spiritual fashion, to reflect on our own experience of family and the many forms that recovery takes.
Written and directed by Zoe Ní Riordain the show has been brought to life by One Two One Two.
With contemporary choreography from award winning Aoife McAtamney Recovery stars:
- Peter Coonan (RTÉ Love/Hate)
- Maud Lee (Maud in Cahoots)
- Aoife Spratt (RTÉ Republic of Telly)
- Stephen Quinn.
One Two One Two is the new theatre and music company founded by Zoe Ni Riordain and Maud Lee who are the song-writing force behind the band Maud in Cahoots who rose to critical acclaim with their sold out production of The Well Rested Terrorist (**** Peter Crawley Irish Times) at the Peacock Theatre in 2014 as part of Tiger Dublin Fringe. They recently presented Everything I Do at Dublin Fringe Festival to sold out audiences, winning Best Performer award (Zoe Ni Riordain).
REcovery is funded by the Arts Councils of Ireland and Northern Ireland touring award.
