We are delighted to welcome back to The Crescent the Belfast Guitar Festival 2019. Now in it’s seventh year, the festival is growing from strength to strength and we are delighted to join forces to bring this unique Festival to life.

Belfast based composer, producer, and avant garde soundscape Matthew Dowie He has an instantly recognizable, difficult to peg style, both an as ensemble player and as a soloist. He is directly or indirectly influenced by all things european, from gypsy jazz to Scandinavian minimalism
Declan Zapala is a UK-based guitarist with a colourful portfolio career divided up between music composition and production from his home studio in Watford, as well as creating video content for his YouTube channel and teaching classical guitar at Watford School of Music.
A Masters graduate of London's Royal College of Music, he is best known as a concert artist for his innovative approach to using the classical guitar simultaneously both as a percussion instrument and as a guitar. His self-produced internationally performed solo shows "Fusion Guitar" and "Guitar Multiverse" have received no less than seven 5*reviews and have been performed extensively throughout UK and Australia.
Jamie Ferguson is a percussive acoustic guitarist based in Manchester, UK. With influences from Andy McKee, Red Hot Chill Peppers through to Calum Graham and Jon Gomm, Jamie’s style combines percussive techniques, fingerpicking, and inventive harmonics to achieve an impressive and exciting style of music. Personal goals and determination are key components to Jamie’s work as he is focusing on becoming a successful solo artist through percussive acoustic guitar.
A love child of jazz, classical music, Indian drones, and more than a nod to the ECM roster. Their ability to read one another's thoughts, only bolsters their anything-goes spirit of improv to further heights. Each new tune is a marvel of musical interaction and interplay.This ensemble is more than capable of taking you on the ever needed, musical journey. About the Belfast Guitar Festival
The 7th Belfast Guitar Festival runs from the 28th August until the 1st September 2019. As always, the line-up of events see’s the Festival bring to the city an eclectic mix of international artists whilst showcasing the wealth of local talent that Northern Ireland has to offer.
The gigs and workshops that make the Festival are all non-profit performances. They rely on the charity of the artists, many of whom devote many nights of voluntary rehearsal time, organise vacations from work and even finance their own travel from countries across the world to perform for you. They do this all for the sheer love of their craft and the music that they are so passionate about.
