This October join us for an immersive comedy… about the end of life.
The great magician, Philip Winterbottom, cordially requests your presence for his final act. Sadly, he’s dead. So... he won’t be there. But, he’s left his son and assistant very clear instructions for his memorial.
Join Philip’s family and friends for one final disappearing act.
Combining cheesy magic, exuberant music & audience participation, A Disappearing Act is a witty, inventive and sometimes awkward exploration of our mortality, the rituals we use to accept it and say goodbye to the ones we love.
As part of this event, Single Shoe Productions, in partnership with Linking Generations are holding a series of intergenerational workshops here at The Crescent. The workshops aim to bring together participants to create a short theatre piece which shall be a curtain warmer before the the performance of A Disappearing Act. Click here for more information about the workshop.
This production has been brought to life by Single Shoe Productions; an international theatre company that creates devised work for universal audiences. They combine visual storytelling, physical comedy and a love for the absurd to create theatrical experiences that challenge boundaries, break down walls and explore the connections that hold us together.
