Writing can be a powerful mindfulness practice, helping us to integrate our active mind with the mind of meditation.
By using writing as a process of inquiry, it can help us loosen attachments and habitual states of mind, as it sharpens our ability to attend to the present moment.
This 8-week course takes participants on a journey of self-discovery, using creative writing and guided visualisations.
From week one, you will begin to explore how writing can help us you slow down and become more aware of your inner landscape.
Each week you will build on the week before, in a nurturing and supportive environment.
By deepening our understanding of ourselves we can experience increased self confidence, clarity, and more ‘calm in the moment.’
By the end of the program you will have a deeper understanding of yourself, increased peace of mind, and you will take away with you the tools to help you continue on your path of writing for mindfulness.
No prior writing experience is required.
About the Tutor
Belinda Bennetts is a therapeutic writing facilitator and author of fiction and nonfiction.
Her core teaching includes 'Writing to Awaken', and 'Give My Head Peace' programs which guide people on an intimate journey of self inquiry and discovery to help them rediscover their true nature, authentic voice, and calling in the world. She brings intuitive insight to her work with individuals and groups, and her programs are available in person and online.
She also facilitates write to wellness programs within businesses, helping individuals achieve better work/life balance and creatively deal with the common stresses of modern life.
Belinda is the author of Fear to Love – An Inner Journey Home, a memoir, which was published in 2016.
Her qualifications include Bowen therapy, craniosacral therapy, and holistic life coaching.
